Unforgiveness Causes Great Hatred and Division

My Dear People,

It was ten years ago today that the horrible tragic attack on the United States by terrorist Muslims took place. The revenge can be traced all the way back to the Old Testament unforgiveness between Isaac and Ishmael. Isaac is the ancestor of the Jewish nation. Ishmael is the father of the Muslim nation. This sibling rivalry is deeply rooted in the family tree of man. Abraham was the father of both. Before Sarah could conceive her son Isaac, Abraham had relations with her maidservant and bore Ishmael. Once Isaac was born, Sarah cast out Ishmael and his mother into the desert.

This caused great hatred and division in the family of Abraham. The unforgiveness continues thousands of years after the fact. Our pro-Israeli sentiment is what spurred on the 9-11 attack by the Muslims. Isaac’s descendents are still at war with Ishmael’s descendents. It is a rift that only Jesus Christ can heal. Pray for the healing of this deeply rooted family unforgiveness. Sin cuts and divides all people, even many years after the fact. But Jesus Christ makes all things NEW! Ask Our Lord to mend the brokenness in our world and in our own families.

Entrusting you to the care of Our Lady,
Fr. Mark Bozada

May we always be ready to give the healing and peace in our families.
