(Feast of the Annunciation to the Anniversary of Pope John Paul II’s passing)

HT:  Veneremur Cernui

Efficacious Novena To The Sacred Heart Of Jesus

(This novena prayer was recited every day by Padre Pio for all those who asked his prayers)

I. My Jesus, You have said, ‘Truly I say to you, ask and it will be given you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.’ Through the intercession of Mary, Your holy Mother, I knock, I seek and ask that my prayer be granted. (here, mention your request) ____________

Our Father…

Hail Mary…

Glory be to the Father…

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

II. O my Jesus, You have said, ‘Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, He will give it to you.’
Through the intercession of Mary, Your holy Mother, in Your Name I ask the Father that my prayer be granted.

Our Father…

Hail Mary…

Glory be to the Father…

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

III. O my Jesus, You have said, ‘Truly I say to you, heaven and earth
will pass away but my words will not pass away.’ Encouraged by
Your infallible words, through the intercession of Mary, Your
holy Mother I feel confident that my prayers will be answered.
(mention your request)

Our Father…

Hail Mary…

Glory be to the Father…

O Sacred , O Merciful, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us poor sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of You, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate heart of Mary, Your tender mother and ours.

Hail, Holy Queen…

St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us.

P.S. – Would you do Courageous Priest a favor and share this info with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or Email right now? We truly appreciate it. Or leave a comment, we would love to hear what you think.

Fr Corapi, you are thought of daily and prayed for. You are not alone, you are at mass and with me throughout the day. Your re-conversion coincided with my journey to the faith for the first time at the age of 37. My family was Catholic but never taught us who that person on the cross was in the bible. It has been your example and humility while teaching that has inspired me to learn the Catholic faith. It has been the most desired and richest of treasures in my life, and I thank you and God. It has been a deep sadness to know you are not speaking to the faithful, but it’s affirming to know you exist. God willing, you will return to us but if not, my prayers shall continue as you have asked over the years. Your faithful catechumen of years past-

Mother Mary, I consecrate Fr. John Corapi to your Immaculate Heart of Mary. Dear Lord Jesus, cover Fr. John Corapi from the tip of his hair to the bottom sole of his feet with your Precious Blood.

i learned much from Fr. Corapi. What is the charge?

  • Kathleen Riney

Please, let us all be mature Catholics. Let us be silent about what “might have”, “could have”, happened, & use all of the words to pray for strength for Fr. Corapi!
I pray to God my life never gets “interesting enough” to have people who don’t know anything about me or my battles, loose with a word Processor!! “Grace” weighs in on your side Fr. John! And we love you!

  • Peter Steigerwald

Stay the course Father, you are in my prayers.

    Dearest Father Corapi,
I live in Sri Lanka and the moment I heard of the sad situation you are in, I offered 9 Holy Masses for you and I was able to be there for them at our parish. I am sure the Lord has gathered all the prayers we have lifted up for you and will bring such graces to blossom from them, to bring joy to your heart.
    May you remain steadfast always
    Yours in Christ

  • Dearest Fr.John, I am with you always as Jesus said when He was going up to Heaven. Be strong and see your mother and grandmother praying the Rosary for you at Mother Mary”s feet! Rest,be strong, and offer it up to God! Write a book to the Blessed Trinity. Love,Your Sister in Christ

  • Peter A. Lynch

    Father Caropi:

I have been listening to you with my wife Liz for many years. Your sermons were always enlightening. You spoke the truth and that’s what your audiance wanted to hear. I can’t believe someone is trying to trash such at knowlegable and down-to-earth priest. Lets ask God and his Mother to forgive them. Our prayers are with you.

Still praying for you, Father! I would never forget you! God bless. Mary J

I’m afraid Fr. Corapi is in for a long wait for exoneration. The process took over two years for a priest I’m aware of.

  • maria bairos

please keep the prayers going for Fr. he is on cross with jesus his beloved but again he will emerge victorious.

  • Clare

Finished the novena. Thank you to the person who posted it.

  • Manuel L Monge

I’ve noted that in most other combox discussions there is often too much bickering. That’s unfortunate. But not here! That’s truly a grace. All I see here are prayerful reflections. Please keep it this way…
I too have started this novena and am confident that at the end of it all, God will be glorified!

Come, Holy Spirit, grant all those here the fortitude to endure in our prayers, in humble faith, in joyful hope, and in inexhaustible charity. And above all to Fr. Corapi, grant him the grace to endure and continue to be our most beloved witness to the Truth. Amen!

  • Stephanie MaryAnn, Velsao, Goa

    Dear Fr.Corapi,

You are an inspiration & role model for us mortals.

In your testimony during one of your homilies you spoke about the change of heart that you underwent which you attributed to the unceasing prayers and Rosaries that your mother offered for you & the rest of the family.

In your life we see how GOD’s saving grace transforms us no matter how great our transgressions. All this ordeal that you are at present undergoing (and all of us avid listeners of your homilies are also undergoing albeit indirectly, as you are no longer on EWTN at present) we are fervently praying that this matter is resolved with the utmost urgency and the TRUTH will be revealed for TRUTH will set us free.

We also pray for the accuser that GOD in his divine mercy showers her with grace to reveal the Truth.

    GOD Bless.

  • Savio Sequeira

    Dear Fr Corapi,

You have been frequently asked ” Why does GOD permit evil & you have rightly answered “So that a greater good may come out of it”.
During this season of LENT and these testing times that you are presently undergoing, GOD wants to arm you and make you bolder and stronger, so that you come out with guns blazing and bring to the fold more of HIS creation who have lost their way and are wandering aimlessly.

GOD is with you through all this. Please offer all that you are undergoing for the salvation of our souls, specially the soul of your accuser. Mother Mary will guide & protect you always.

    GOD Bless.

  • Susie

May all the Angels of Heaven direct your path. Out of something bad, something good will come out of this and for God’s glory! May God make all the crooked places straight and what is in darkness will come to light. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen!

  • Lucy

I thank God for Fr. Corapi. I’ve been listening to him since I can’t remember (maybe 14 years). I often used to call him my “spiritual director” since I didn’t have one at the time and sometimes was hard to find one especially with homeschooling, 9 children and elderly parents living with me!! He has definately been an instrument to help me carry my cross and bring my whole family to love our faith! Be assured of our continued prayers for you always!!!!

  • Tina

I truly believe that this trial period in Fr. Corapi’s life is God’s will in preparing him for sainthood.

Father Corapi taught me many things but this one thing comes to mind:
“Why does God allow evil? God allows evil to bring about a greater good!”

No one person has ever taught me so much. When I asked Jesus to please teach me, he placed Father Corapi in my life.

  • Terry

Jesus’ priests are Mary’s priests….Mary is on this , trust that.

  • Polly

This should be a wake up call for all of us to remember ALL priests in our prayers daily. They are subject to all kinds of attacks and need our constant intercession.

May Fr. Corapi be quickly exonerated and returned to his speaking engagements.

  • Kathryn Qimberley

    Dearest Fr. Corapi;
I knew that someday they would come after you because you speak the “Truth” so profoundly. I love to hear you and I pray that all will be well with you very soon. Please don’t be discouraged. “This too shall pass…”. Just remember that you are loved and respected by many, many thousands people and of course by The Lord Himself!
    God Bless You!
    Katy Wimberley

  • Teresa C. Saltarella

    Dear Father Corapi:

I believe in your innocence, and know you will come out of this stronger than ever. I will offer my weekly hour and rosary in front of the Blessed Sacrament for your exoneration.

    In Christ,
    Teresa C. Saltarella

I am so sad. I love you Father Corapi. I have been feeling the enemy from every direction. I feel very alone & distressed. I usually feel very strong in Christ & when I would listen to you I could really engage in what you were saying & how few have every been so bold & so strong for all of us….to help us through. That’s why the enemy hits you so strong but God is faithful & this life is truly only a whisper of time for each & every one of us. Hang in there & we (many, many!!) are all hanging in there for you, with the Might One, the Creator of our Universe. We all suffer with you. Many prayers go up for you!!

  • Patty jordan

Dear Father Corapi, I watch your programs, purchase your DVD’s, try to live by the Godly principles you teach us, and want you to know we pray for you every night in your battle against Satan and his agents. May God bless you and clear your good name.

  • ed gordon

    Father Corapi,

I’m not suprised. They crucified Jesus. I’ll move you to the top of my Rosary intentions and Divine Mercy Chaplet. God help us with where the world is going. God bless you Father Corapi.

Father Corapi I am praying this Novena for you. I believe in your innocence. You are a Holy Priests who always speaks the Truths of our Catholic Faith. You have unjustly been accused and I know and Trust Jesus is going to bring out the truth and you will be back with us poor sinners to lead us on in this Spiritual battle. O Satan surly wants you out of commission but yes Our Blessed Mother is going to crush his head. God Bless you always. We stand by you and pray for you everyday! Thank you for all you do for the Hearts of Jesus & Mary. They are absolutly with you Father.
    Our continued support & love,

To be honest I don’t agree with Fr. Corapi’s of even this sites brand of religion, but I digress. The Novena and prayers are all well and good, but Father Corapi and other religious in his situation have to row the boat as it were and defend themselves. A good start would be to take a lie detector test and challenge the accuser to do the same. If this isn’t done, all religious are going to be sitting ducks.

  • Rev. Stanley Monaghan

The greater the priest is, the more the devil goes after him and their crosses are usually heavier. We love and appreciate all Fr. Caropi has done for us and the church, we pray for your speedy return.

This is surely the work of Satan! He is attacking one of Christ’s most obedient and loving disciples–Fr. John Corapi! You now know Fr. John that your work IS paying off because Satan is so adamant at persecuting you right now! He wants you out of the picture and this is his way of doing it! My prayers are with you Fr. Corapi! Cathy

  • Cathy

I am praying for you Fr. Corapi! What a lent you are having! I had a challenging lent last year in fear of losing my job from a couple of mistakes I made. I was at the time the only money maker in our family of my disabled husband and 5 grown children without jobs living with us! It was a blessing in redemptive suffering and I got a glimpse at what Jesus must have gone through not defending himself, as I was not able to talk about the situation with friends or coworkers during or after the ordeal! I was wrong in what I did and saw how my mistakes affected everyone including my family and friends not associated with my work! It was a curse in that the punishment to follow also affected many people! Thank God in His wisdom for the opportunity of redemptive suffering Fr. John. And pray to have the courage to weather this “storm”! I will be using yours and Padre Pio’s strongest “weapon”–THE ROSARY! May God Bless you and Mary comfort you at this time! Peace. Cathy

  • Glad to have stumbled upon this website. The 9.1.1 prayers seem doable to me for you, Fr. Corapi and other faithful ordained and religious.

Please pray that our adult daughter remains in the Catholic Church and brings her very Christian fiance to know love and serve God within our Church and to receive the Eucharist. For our divorced daughter and mother of 4 to find a holy man to love her and her children after an annulment and that our son,John, remains on his holy path of engagement to a wonderful young woman.

God bless you and thanks for sending a prayer up for our adult children!

    Dear Fr. Corapi

I have been praying for you since I heard of this terrible injustice to the Sorrowful Mother, St. Pio and Blessed John Paul 11. Please don’t give up. Stay strong for we all need you. love you and respect you for the good priest that you are. God bless you and keep you.

  • Mary

    Dear Fr. Corapi:

I have been praying for you since I heard of this terrible injustice. I will start this novena today. I have been praying to the Sorrowful Mother, St. Pio and Blessed Pope John Paul for you. It is very interesting to me that you heard about this on Ash Wednesday. Please don’t give up. Stay strong in your faith. You have many who love you and respect you for the good priest that you are. God bless you and keep you.

  • Cheryl

Father Corapi; I am a Catholic Convert. I’ve never met you, yet you are my mentor. I will continue to strengthen my children’s faith and my faith through all of your teachings. I will pray for you and for your accuser. Jesus shares a big part of his suffering with his closest friends. The devil may be watching you but Jesus is not only watching, He abides in you. Don’t take you eyes off of Him.

    Yours in Christ

    Dear Father Corapi,
We believe in your innocence. I offer up this Novena for you & I’m grateful it was shared. O you are missed on your Saturday teachings on EWTN especially at this time of Lent. Yes you have taught us well about Spiritual Warefare. I was just one of the many souls who heard you speak in New Jersey on Spirital Warefare. So along with others who love & respect you, I am praying this beautiful & powerful Novena prayed by St. Padre Pio, I will pray the rosary for you to Our Immaculate Heart of Mary, The Divine Mercy Chaplet & 9 Memoraies….Calling 9-1-1 ! O Yes at Mass too!!! Nothing but the best for our courageous, faiithful Priest who teaches us clearly the truth in our Catholic faith! We will also praying for this person who has wrongly; we believe, accused you as well. May she too Trust in Jesus’ Divine Mercy and be truly sorrowful in this time of Lent.
We love you in Union with the Hearts of ❤ Jesus and ❤ Mary

I am praying for Fr. Corapi. As one once falsely accused, I know very well the pain and horrible feeling of losing one’s peace and esteem while the accusation is being scrutinized by others who really have no interest in your innocence (you are already seen as guilty, regardless of what the law says). My feeling is that he is certainly innocent, and strongly pray that the authority will not drag this out and make it all worse. Demand evidence and collaboration immediately, or dismiss the case and restore Fr. Corapi immediately. And none if this “where there’s smoke there’s fire” lie – the only fire in this case is from below.

  • Margarita Davila-Klock

  • Mary

Anybody remember the novena Fr Corapi spoke about
    had something to do with 1 0 1 , I think.

    Hello Mary,

I believe what you are referring to is the Spiritual 9-1-1. It consists of 9 Memorares, 1 Rosary and 1 Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

I am sure that Fr. Corapi would appreciate any 9-1-1s prayed for him, too.

    God bless you,
    John Quinn

Dearest Fr. Corapi, You just hang in there—we’re all praying the evil away–just like you taught us to!! We’ll love you forever; thank you for everything you’ve done for all of us miserable sinners! God is blessing you right now-don’t forget that! Stay strong! Bonita from Minnesota

  • Sharon R.

Father Corapi, My husband & I have been listening to you for several years. You have been a faith building inspiration for us! We have learned so much about our Catholic faith from you. You taught us about ‘spiritual warfare’ and how we must be strong and pray to our Mother Mary, our Momma who wears combat boots! Just remember that WE win! God Bless you and give you His Peace. You are in our prayers!

  • victoria pisano

Jesus said, “All things that are hidden, will be revealed…”
What is done in the dark, will be brought up into the LIGHT.
Truth will not be Blessed by God if it is rooted in a LIE…

I am very glad to take up my weapon and pray this Novena for Fr. John Corapi. So sorry he is going through this. I have been praying daily for him since the beginning of lent and will continue to do so until this situation is resolved.

  • Rita L. childers

Thank you and GOD BLESS for keeping us posted on Fr. Corapi.
I believe totally in Fathers’ innocence and it is simply “a sign of the times” and we will have to PRAY PRAY PRAY as our IMMACULATE MOTHER HAS ASKED OF US. It is a pretty sad world when the demons are running and warring with people such as Father Corapi and of course we know why…HE is so powerful and good and is bringing so many into the fold they are getting worried!!!

  • Carol Marceaux

Thank you for putting this out for all of us. I am praying for him but as you know novena’s have an extra special touch.

  • Justin

Perhaps good to recall the story of Joseph (Genesis 39) and the Potiphar wife episode that left Joseph in prison even though he did everything right. Still the Lord was with him. Perhaps Fr Corapi is being called to a new humility through Christ. One never knows and only sees God’s workings in hindsight. Also Matt 5:11 – I’m sure Father Corapi’s reward will be great indeed.

  • Julie Butters

    Dear Father Corapi,
    My prayer cenacle
had tickets to come hear you preach this next Saturday in Dekalb Illinois. Many of us have watched your show for over 20 years on EWTN. We are so dissapointed about the current circumstances you are in. We know you would remind us that we are at war and to bring out the heavy guns, our weapons…We are going to do this novena and offer up our daily rosaries. I fell on a patch of ice this morning and I am offering up that pain also for your intensions. We know who wins this war, our beloved Jesus and his and our Mother Mary. God Bless,
    Julie Butters

    Dearest Father Corapi,
I want to thank you for service to the Lord and all of us who are so in need of clear and straightforward teaching. I love your witness of what the Lord has done in your life. • For all you have done for my spiritual life I am forever grateful, you are one of God’s warriors and the devil just couldn’t handle that, so he sent evil in to attack you but you have the concilation of knowing Our Lord and Our Lady have surrounded you with his angels and you are being held in the palm of his Holy hands right now. We are all praying for you and storming the heavens with petitions for the truth to come out and your speedy return to the Pulpit where you belong. May God richly Bless you and may our Lady hold you in her heart during this trial.

    Dearest Father Corapi,

You have done so much for me spiritually. You verbally kicked my bottom back into the confessional and made me a better Catholic. It is time to repay the favor by offering up all that I can, praying all that I can, doing penances all that I can to help you and other priests. You have prepared us well in this battle; we will not go down without a fight. I’ve got my weapon, my rosary. Always know that millions of people love you very much!!!

  • Margaret

We will pray for this great priest to whom we owe so much.

  • Dear Fr. Corapi,
You’ve taught all of us, your spiritual children, all about “Spiritual Warfare” and you have prepared us for these times that we live in. Now it is time for us to intercede for you and storm the heavens with our prayers.

Thank you for the holy priest that you are!
