Attention Pastors: Please Speak Out!

Fr. Frank Pavone Speaking Out on Abortion
Priests For Life – Why don’t more pastors speak out against abortion? Some of them actually do not know how to connect the issue with the Scripture readings. They know that the readings are supposed to be the basis of their homilies, but they do not find many references to the unborn child or to the killing of such children.
But the themes of pro-life are on every page of Scripture. Homilies are not simply Scripture lessons. Rather they apply the great Biblical themes to the day to day challenges that believers face as they live their lives.
So, for instance, the Bible is clear that only God has dominion over human life – he made it, he cares for it, he owns it. That is why no human being can own or kill or devalue.

I received this from one of our email subscribers. Thanks Maureen!
Hello,
I just had to reply to this one of the many articles I have received from you. I certainly do agree. I have been actively supporting the pro-life movement, but just how do we get the pastors to do this from the pulpit. No matter how many activities we arrange in our parish, we have a very small amount of participation. I truly feel that our priests have to get the people on board. If they are not actively supporting us, who will? Sorry, just had to express myself.

Maureen,
Here is what Fr. John Cihak says to do.
“And so as the pastor of your souls and as your spiritual father, I urge you to prepare yourselves spiritually, through prayer, fasting, virtuous living and most of all faith, hope and love, for what is to come. Let us recommit ourselves in joy to protect and cherish the weak and vulnerable among us.”

The priest in my parish speaks only in liberal terms. For instance on the 4th he said it was fine to be patriotic, but then he went on to say how unwelcoming America has been. He professed the ideals of open borders, for not seeing gay or straight, man or woman or black and white. Am I to assume he wants gay marriage, gay priests, women priests? I have never heard him even mentioning protecting the unborn, even during the 40 days for life. I would think priests talk about what they believe and not necessarily the truth. Like many Catholics they are not pro-life.
How willing are we:Priest Consecrated Souls or Lay Person to pick up our cross carry it unite our sufferings to Christ?
When society and history look back upon our generation what will the analysis be? How could so many stand by while over 50 million innocents in the US alone were put to death?
The stage of the time we are living in has been set from the beginning.
Deafness blindness insensitivity indifference and just plain dumbness has stuck us.
Our wills are being tested we each decide lay person or priest.
Do we follow Christ or do we give in to the ways of the world.
Let us direct our sufferings and desire to love one another to Our Lady The Mother of All Nations. Pray to her to take our prayers to Jesus and make us Co-Mediators, Co-Redeemers and join in the Advocacy of the Holy Spirit. All for the honor and glory or God. Eyes will open ears will hear conversions will occur. Our Priests must have our prayers support and unity in this communion with Christ.
For Thine is the Kingdom The Power The Glory Lord God! We pray in the Presence of St Joseph Our Guardian Angels. Pray to be delivered from this scourge and sin if it be for the good of our souls in God’s time. Till that time we have only one Way The Cross of Jesus Christ! Joy and Peace be with you brothers and sisters.
